Revival Blog 95
Firstly, my apologies for the long delay in posting a blog but due to circumstances, I have been somewhat remiss.
For the month of March 2021, I would like to share what I believe is the rise in invisible censorship of those things that the Christian Church once had a voice but now seem to be taboo.
We would sing the song “Be Bold, Be Strong, For the Lord Thy God is With You” and yet in this day and age, we shrink back from anything considered controversial and/or not politically correct. Case in point, when was the last time you heard a Minister preach on hell, a real place where all those without Christ will spend eternity. The reason being that fire and brimstone preaching does not fill the pews whereas sharing a prosperity gospel is very attractive and good for both the attendance figures and the shekels.
We now live in a world where people do not know what gender they are. As part of getting a COVID vaccination recently, I completed a registration form that asked what was my birth gender and a second question asking what is my real gender. We have legalized sin which resulted in the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah and Romans 1 is crystal clear: 24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen. 26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.
We have murdered in excess of 8 million babies in 2021 (10 weeks’ worth of abortions worldwide). Argentina recently approved and legalized abortion: Argentina on Wednesday became the largest nation in Latin America to legalize elective abortion, a triumph for a feminist movement that overcame a last-minute appeal by Pope Francis to his compatriots and could pave the way for similar actions across the socially conservative, heavily Roman Catholic region. “We congratulate Argentina’s lawmakers for listening in an exemplary way to the clamor of the people and their attention to the popular will,” the executive committee of the National Regeneration Movement said in a statement on social media.”
Opioids are killing the next generation as the following statement supports: “In 2019, nearly 50,000 people in the United States died from opioid-involved overdoses. The misuse of and addiction to opioids—including prescription pain relievers, heroin, and synthetic opioids such as fentanyl—is a serious national crisis that affects public health as well as social and economic welfare”. The only data I could find for worldwide opioid abuse is as follows: “Worldwide, about 269 million people (or 5.3% of the global population aged 15-64 years) used drugs at least once in 2018. Among them, about 58 million people used opioids. About 35.6 million people suffered from drug use disorders in 2018”.
I assume you understand and hopefully agree that the point I am making is that it is time for the Christian Church to stand up and preach the life-changing power of the gospel through anointed preaching and teaching. Friends, we desperately need a Holy Ghost revival and I believe this pandemic is just one of the signs that we are living in the last days. Wake up Church and seek the Lord with intercessory prayer that millions will be swept into the kingdom and hell plundered. (11 March, 2021)
